Emma's writing

beateeppMy friend's daughter, Emma, wrote this beautiful piece here about our farm and the animals. I think this is just awesome and like to share this with you! Emma did a wonderful job (she is in Grade 5), and I love her colourful and loving descriptions.
She also painted this picture here. I am very happy to have such a fine young girl as a friend!

Enjoy, and thank you Emma!

p.s.: I did not correct any mistakes to leave it as pure as it is.

PLEASANT POINT FARM

As you drive in and get out of your vehicle, you'll see the dogs. One white and one brown. You walk up to the bright saffron, and cherry red house, a nice lady named Beate will greet you. As you walk up to the big red barn you come up to a huge gate with two cocoa colored horses. One with a bunch of creamy white on the face and back and one with a pearl white star on his face. You touch their silky noses that are as soft as snow. Cristy ( first described) and Quest ( second described) looooove a pet on the nose. When you go into the house you will see a bunch of paintings that are all the colours of the rainbow. Beate has made these paintings, she is a talented artist! Next you will go behind her house and on to her meditation path filed with art, trees, rainbows and rainbows of glass ornaments, boudahs, rocks, rainbow flags, cats....yes I said cats. Beate's cats are: Tom an affectionate black cat, Queenie a fluffy gray cat, Mickey an energetic white gray cat,and Sritzie an orange fluffy cat. You and Beate leave the meditation path and wander into her long garden. Tuffy ( the white dog) and Chessie ( the brown dog) are probably there munching on raspberries or prairie cherries. Beate gives you a prairie cherry. The sour tasting prarie cherry zings in your mouth. Everything is fun at........

What a lovely piece of writing - I was transported to the farm as I read Emma's words - and I think she has describes it so well, it makes me want to be there right now.
